IDEA is Mississauga’s collaborative lead for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. A distinctive community that supports and connects local and globally minded entrepreneurs and businesses, generating international recognition for the City.
IDEA Mississauga is a city-wide ecosystem led by the Economic Development Division also known as ‘Invest Mississauga‘ within the City of Mississauga’s Planning and Building Department. IDEA Mississauga is the small business and entrepreneurship arm of Invest Mississauga.
IDEA Mississauga does not represent one specific location in Mississauga – rather, it represents the city’s entire ecosystem comprising of industry, government, education, and a variety of organizations that help start-ups and scale-ups accelerate ideas and commercialize solutions. A rich network of mentorship, partners, talent and connections, IDEA Mississauga is a collective and central resource that offers programs and services including an interactive, concierge-style tool that allows entrepreneurs to connect with one another and to identify and access customized resources offered by various organizations specific to their needs.

The IDEA Square One Entrepreneurship Hub is the home of IDEA Mississauga. Located Downtown inside the Square One Shopping Centre, IDEA Square One is a 4,300 square-foot facility for startups, scale-ups, corporate leaders, and investors to collaborate and grow together.
