Tamara Seales

As the President of Seaford Pharmaceuticals, Tamara is the driving force and visionary behind all administrative, financial, strategic and marketing functions for the company. After a dynamic market career across multiple industries, Tamara launched into a progressive journey with Seaford in which she grew from early office and marketing leadership into all-encompassing operations management. Tamara has embraced every opportunity to learn and grow as a business leader and industry influence, having discovered the keys to bringing life to Seaford’s specialty and niche product offerings. Tamara earned her Bachelor of Commerce from York University (with distinction), and then completed a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from York University’s Schulich School of Business.

Laura Conquergood, BSc.Eng., P.Eng. VP Business Leader

Laura Conquergood is the VP Business Leader at Boston Scientific. In this role, she leads the legacy Baylis Medical which was acquired by Boston Scientific in 2022. Prior to this role, Laura oversaw all the company’s operations, including global supply chain, manufacturing, quality, distribution, and warehousing. Laura has more than 20 years’ experience leading teams in the development and manufacturing of medical devices. She began her career with Baylis Medical as an R&D Engineer, then progressed to leading the Quality Team, Operations Manager, Operations Director, and VP of Operations. Laura’s greatest accomplishment has been her involvement and leadership in the transformation of Baylis Medical from a 30-person company to more than 900 employees globally

Harsimran Kaur Garcha, Business Development Specialist at HDAX Therapeutic

Determined scientist with a masters degree in medicinal chemistry, Harsimran now works as a Business Development Specialist at HDAX Therapeutics. Through her previous role as an Associate Biologist, Harsimran helped the Dalriada Drug Discovery team by conducting experiments to discover turnkey small molecule drugs. With extensive experience as a graduate researcher from the University of Toronto, Harsimran brings a wealth of research expertise to her role at HDAX Therapeutics while effortlessly crossing between the life science and business worlds. With her passion for science, innovation, and community outreach, the IDEA Mississauga is fortunate to have HDAX Therapeutics and Harsimran participating in the IDEA Step-Up Program.
